Voting Information

In the 2019 Special Election, Ward 4 residents have three voting options:

  1. Vote early by in-person absentee ballot at City Hall
  2. Vote on Election Day
  3. Vote absentee by mail

Here’s how to make a voting plan to vote EARLY or ON ELECTION DAY

To vote early

You can vote early in person by going to the City Clerk’s office on the third floor of City Hall, weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Request an absentee ballot, fill it out, and turn it back in. It’s easy!

Please note that this is different than the early voting location in last year’s election.

To vote on Election Day

Step 1: Find your voting location

You can use this map to find where you vote, or you can use the city’s Polling Place Finder. Voting locations are:

Ward 4 PrecinctLocationAddress (click link for map)
Precinct 9Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church2901 20th St S
Precinct 10Brookdale Baptist Church1401 40th Ave S
Precinct 11Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd4000 28th St S
Precinct 12Calvary Church at Village Green2801 Village Green Blvd

Step 2: Add your voting place and time to your calendar

To vote absentee by mail

Fill out an absentee ballot request form and return it by mail. When it has been received, the City Clerk’s office will mail you an absentee ballot. Please make sure to allow enough time for mail to be delivered. The City Clerk’s office must receive absentee ballots by November 5 for them to be counted

Information on how to complete your absentee ballot is available at the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website.
